One of the defining characteristics of Bory Jenő’s art is its diversity of genres, techniques and styles.
When his works are considered according to the intention behind their creation, a considerable number are tombs and monuments commissioned for many different parts of the country, architectural sculpture and commissioned portraits. When he modelled not to commission but for his own pleasure, he gave far greater scope to his feelings and passions.
Considered by the materials and techniques employed, his works include marble, bronze, terracotta, porcelain, concrete and aluminium. The migration of forms begins on sheets of paper and continues across canvases, walls, architectural members and sculptures.
